Hi, I’m Lilly.

I’m a professional makeup artist based in Te Whakatū Nelson, specialising in bridal makeup and weddings across Nelson, New Zealand. I recently relocated from Ōtepoti Dunedin after more than a decade down south, chasing sunnier pastures and new opportunities.

During the week, I work as a Marketing Executive in a local creative agency, but weekends? They’re reserved for love stories. It’s a genuine honour to be part of wedding mornings, helping women feel their most beautiful, confident selves with natural, long-lasting makeup.

My love for makeup started young — think early 2000s glitter, sticky lip gloss, and butterfly clips. Back then, makeup was pure fun: dress-up, play, and a little bit of magic. Honestly, it still is.

As teens, my sister and I spent hours playing with makeup and filming YouTube tutorials — most of which (thankfully) will never see the light of day. Soon, I was doing ball makeup for friends, creating looks that felt true to them. For me, the goal was always makeup that felt both comfortable and empowering—enhancing natural beauty rather than masking it.

These days, I focus on refining technique, crafting soft, radiant looks, and finding that sweet spot where beauty meets long-lasting wear—ideal for weddings, photography, and full-day celebrations.

After being a bridesmaid every year since 2022 (no joke!), I know the energy of a Nelson wedding morning inside and out. And truthfully? I thrive in it. Maybe it’s the eldest daughter in me, but I love being a calm, steady presence—there to support you and ensure your makeup feels just as good as it looks.

My Approach

My approach is both client-led and collaborative. I ask the right questions to create a look that makes you feel confident and radiant, while also offering guidance on what suits your features and skin tone. More than makeup, it’s about how you feel: comfortable, calm, and truly yourself. I’m there to adapt to the morning, support you, and stay attuned to the energy of your wedding morning.

Naturally Enhancing

“Natural” makeup is relatively subjective, however feeling confident is not. Most women want to look in the mirror and see themselves in their most radiant light.

Whether that means no foundation at all, or a winged liner and bold lip, is entirely up to you. What matters most to me is understanding what feels natural and enhanced to you, and creating a look that reflects exactly that.

Long Lasting

Creating makeup that lasts all day—from early hours of the morning to the dance floor—is both an art and a science.

The key is building multiple thin layers: a hydrated skincare base and carefully layered cream complexion products. Then powders and setting sprays to ensure your look stays flawless, radiant, and photo-ready throughout your special day.
